The Mountain House Inn Rental Agreement

Thank you for using Mountain House Inn for your special event. To guarantee a hold for your dates, the following must be filled out and signed.

The property will be ready for occupancy no earlier than 12pm EST on the day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 12pm EST on the day of departure.

Weekly Stay – $13,500 

Mountain House Inn catering package costs can be made available per your menu choice.

Payments

30% of total costs is due at time of reservation. A balance of $_______________ is due 30 days in advance of arrival. No refunds will be given for early departure.
The damage deposit will be returned in no less than two weeks by check, if no damage to the premises is found after your departure.

Renter agrees not to occupy or use the MOUNTAIN HOUSE INN (MHI), or permit the MHI to be occupied for any purpose or act, which (i) is in violation of any law, ordinance, governmental or agency regulation, decree, order or judgment; (ii) may be dangerous to persons or property, (iii) will in any way increase the rate of insurance on the MHI, (iv) is for any other purpose other than the event; or (v) is determined to be unacceptable, immoral or detrimental in any way to the MHI’s reputation or position, as determined by the INN’s in its sole and absolute discretion. NO hunting or fishing on premises. NO swimming or boating in the lake on premises. Access to the MHI property must be limited to the immediate house grounds. Due to safety concerns, no access allowed in MHI basement or turret.

Owner acknowledges that the INN will be delivered to the Renter in good condition and repair suitable for the event, and that the Renter will take sufficient care of the MHI to maintain that condition. Renter agrees to keep the surroundings in and about the MHI clean and free from waste, and where required, to pay all cleaning costs incurred by the Owner to return the MHI to the said condition. Renter agrees to pay for any damages it has caused or has allowed to be caused to the MHI or Owner’s other property at the venue, normal wear and tear excepted.

Renter is responsible for removing any personal items at the end of the event. Owner is not responsible for any lost, misplaced or left items belonging to Renter, its guests or others that are not picked up at the end of the event.

All arrangements for the use of the MHI, including set up, installation and deliveries to the MHI must be pre-arranged with the Owners. Renter may not alter or make improvements to the MHI without the prior written consent of the Owner. Should Owner approve any such alterations, Renter shall be responsible for all corresponding costs.

​​​​​Swimming Pool
Renter acknowledges that no lifeguard will be on duty during their stay. Renter also acknowledges that certain risks are associated with hot tubs and pools. Use of the pool and hot tub is at the Renters own risk, and MHI will not be responsible for any injuries.

​​​​​Alcoholic Beverages

If any liquor, wine, beer or other alcoholic beverages are to be served at the event, all such alcoholic beverages are the sole responsibility of the Renter and Renter assumes all liability associated with the serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold MOUNTAIN HOUSE INN, LLC, and its members, managers, employees, agents and representatives harmless from and against any and all claims, suits, damages or losses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and expenses of litigation) incurred by them in connection with the consumption or service of alcoholic beverages at the event.

​​​​​Smoking/Fire Hazards

Smoking of any type is NOT permitted inside any building or structure. All smoking must be outdoors in designated areas, and any debris therefrom must be disposed of in designated receptacles.

Due to safety concerns, fireworks are NOT permitted on the property. Sky Lanterns are also NOT permitted on the property at MOUNTAIN HOUSE INN, LLC. Sparklers are allowed.

​​​​​Non-Disturbance Clause

Renters and their guest shall not disturb, annoy, endanger (fireworks) or inconvenience neighbors nor use the property for any unlawful purposes. NO discharge of firearms.

​​​​​Insurance

MOUNTAIN HOUSE INN, LLC strongly recommends that Renter procure an event liability insurance policy to provide protection for Renter in the event any claims or liabilities arise in connection with the event.

SIGNATURE

I/WE have read and understand the MOUNTAIN HOUSE INN contract. By signing below, I/We agree to all terms and conditions thereof.
